Block printing
As part of our Maya topic, the children have been learning about codices. In Art lessons, the children have been creating their own Maya codices by writing their own creation stories and then representing the words using symbols. Following this, the children created their symbols on polystyrene blocks and printed them on to their codices. It was very messy, but great fun!
