River and Rowing Museum, Henley
On Monday 9th July, Upper School visited the River and Rowing Museum in Henley as part of our Raging Rivers unit. After a bit of a longer journey than expected, we finally reached our destination and quickly settled in to the activities. First of all, we completed a range of practical tasks inside the museum to help us to learn about floodplains, the River Thames, erosion, transportation and deposition. We then went on a walk down the River Thames. We looked for many features, including islands, tributaries, confluences and locks. It was a very enjoyable day and we would like to thank the School Association for subsidising some of the cost of the visit.
