As I mentioned in my interim newsletter, since my arrival at Chesterton, I have had a number of discussions with parents regarding the possibility of offering full ‘wrap-around’ provision. However, our major barrier has always been lack of space after school as the hall (our Breakfast Club home) is in use for a number of other purposes at the end of the school day and classrooms are required by teachers to work in after school.
The proposed expansion of the school, although not finally confirmed at this point, gives us the option of finding a different location for an after school club.

Thank you for coming to the Woodlands meeting last night. If you were unable to make the information evening, please see the attached Powerpoint that we talked through. The original letter about the visit is also attached in case you have mislaid it.
We would like to remind you that the deadline for paying deposits is approaching (10th February) so please send in your first payment of £75 to the office as soon as you can. If, for whatever reason, you are unsure about your child going, please drop in to see me or Miss Regan and hopefully we can allay any concerns. As we said in the original letter, we are extremely hopeful of taking all of the children from Year 5/6 and do not want anyone to be left behind.
