The annual 'World Book Day' is fast approaching and we are busy planning to have a 'Book Week' in school, which will run from Monday 2nd March through to Friday 6th March. Although Thursday 5th March is officially World Book Day, we will be holding book-related activities throughout the entire week.

I am writing to inform you that the school’s long-awaited building project is due to commence on the 10th February. The project, which will provide two additional classrooms, an extension to the school kitchen, an expansion of the Maple classroom and a replacement play trail, has been in the planning and development process since Autumn 2015.

We are holding our Internet Safety Day on Wednesday 5th February with 'The Ultimate E-Safety Show' for pupils and a Parent Information Workshop for parents and carers (3.30 pm -- 4.30 pm).

On Monday 2nd December Alan Summers from Music for Schools Foundation will be coming into school to talk to the children (Year 2 and above) about playing and learning a musical instrument. We have a long standing relationship with MfSF, Mrs Hunter comes into school regularly every week to teach the children.

As I hope you are already aware, this year’s Nativity performances of "Baubles! A Tree-mendous Nativity": will take place on Tuesday 10th and Wednesday 11th of December (start time 2.10pm). In the first instance, two tickets will be available per family to attend either Tuesday’s or Wednesday's performance.
