OFSTED: March 2017
Short inspection of Chesterton Church of England Voluntary Aided
Primary School
"Dear Mr Horner,
Following my visit to the school on 7 March 2017, I write on behalf of Her Majesty’s
Chief Inspector of Education, Children’s Services and Skills to report the inspection
findings. The visit was the first short inspection carried out since the school was
judged to be good in February 2013.
This school continues to be good.
Since your arrival in September 2015 your enthusiasm and determination has
galvanised both pupils and parents. They share your ambition and passion for the
future. You have been extremely well supported by able senior leaders,
knowledgeable governors and eager staff who are keen to improve the school
further. You have put in place effective professional development for staff. As a
result, teaching skills are continually improving. Leaders’ regular checks
demonstrate that this training has had a positive impact on pupils’ progress."
