Chesterton CE Primary School Chesterton School dates back to the 1850s. It is small and thriving, set in spacious grounds in the heart of the village. We are a Voluntary Aided Primary School which means that we get support from both the Diocese and the Oxfordshire Education Authority. The school has been extended over the years and now consists of the original School House with its attached Victorian classroom and a modern classroom block built in the 1970s which was added to in 2001. Chesterton School has a distinctive Christian ethos which is at the centre of school life. This is exemplified in the clear focus on the Christian values of generosity, integrity, humility, compassion, respect and resilience. We welcome applications from all members of the community and ask that parents and children respect our ethos and its importance to the whole school community. We provide an inclusive, supportive and caring environment in which children can learn and flourish. The Governors have made every effort to ensure that our admission arrangements comply with the School Admissions Code 2014 and all relevant legislation including that on infant class sizes and equal opportunities. |
