On Thursday 24th September, Chesterton pupils played their first competitive football match in over six months. Girls from Years 1-3, who had missed the chance to play in the Summer Term, were managed by Miss Phillips and Miss Claridge.

There was much excitement, amongst both players and the small number of spectators, and the effort and skill were evident for all to watching. After an end-to-end first twenty minutes, which ended 2-2, Phillips' Phenomena lived up to their name and ran out 4-2 winners over Claridge's Champs, with expertly taken second half goals from Year 1s Sophie Brennan and Evalyn Wyatt. Other scorers were Beatrice Dancer (2), Emelia Brayshaw an own goal. We are all looking forward to their next match.
