The Year 1 and 2 girls put on a fabulous display of football for the spectators in the spring sunshine, with the 6-goal thriller ending in a 3-all draw. Evalyn Wyatt opened the scoring for the Rovers inside the opening minute, for her third goal in three games this season. Edie Wells replied soon after to bring the Tacklers level. Two goals either side of half-time from Layla-Mae (Tacklers), including an amazing solo effort, and one from Bella Pearson (Rovers) meant that the reds were leading 3-2 heading into the final minutes. With barely 60 seconds left on the clock, up stepped Rovers captain Bea Abbey to fire in a dramatic equaliser, making it honours even at 3-3. Thank you to managers Mrs Tuffrey and Mrs Rotherham, who were ably assisted by Sports Captains Honour Woodrow and Amelia Hawes. We're already looking forward to the next match!
